Jasmine Robinson, is a product of the San Mateo County Community College District (SMCCCD) and is an example of a financially struggling student, who had no idea what she wanted to be when she grew up, and is now months away from a Harvard Master’s degree. She worked full-time, first as a student assistant, then a computer support technician and web support analyst while attending classes at the College of San Mateo & Cañada College. She transferred to Menlo College to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She currently works as the Director of Web Services for the SMCCCD where she leads a team of full-stack web developers to vet, implement and develop web applications, redesigns, compliance, security and analytics. Jasmine has multiple certifications including Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Chief Information Systems Officer Association (CISOA) Certification through the California State Chancellor’s Office in Sacramento. She has been recognized for her participation in National Council for Marketing & Public Relations award-winning projects, has been honored by Menlo College for the Spirit of the Professional Student Program and was nominated for the District Office Classified Employee Award by the SMCCCD Board of Trustees. Jasmine taught the first blogging & podcasting course at Skyline College and has presented on web best practices at Educause & CISOA conferences. Jasmine will graduate in May 2019 with her Master’s at Harvard University, in Extension Studies Digital Media Design, with an emphasis on Web Application Development.
